Commissariat : Camille Martel&nbsp; Présentée dans le cadre de la 18e édition de Lille Art Up!, au Lille Grand Palais, cette exposition collective réunissait une sélection d’artistes accompagnés par la malterie arts visuels sur le stand H-03. Pensée comme un espace de visibilité et de mise en dialogue, l’exposition présentait les travaux récents de Aurélie Le Maître, Julie Everaert, Roman Compiègne, Sidonie Hadoux, SongLin Ji, Jade Jouvin, Théo Romain-Sobota et Thomas Moësl. Elle s’inscrivait dans la thématique « Horizons nouveaux », fil conducteur de cette édition, invitant à explorer des formes de projection, de transformation et de déplacement des regards. À travers une diversité de médiums — photographie, dessin, sculpture, édition, vidéo et son — les œuvres proposaient une pluralité d’approches sensibles et formelles. L’exposition interrogeait notamment notre rapport au réel et à sa représentation, les régimes contemporains de perception, ainsi que les tensions entre mémoire, imaginaire et construction des récits collectifs. Dans le contexte d’une foire d’art contemporain, cet accrochage affirmait également le rôle de la malterie arts visuels comme plateforme d’accompagnement et de diffusion, en offrant aux artistes un Romain-Sobota - Marie Charpentier - Younès Ben Slimane Commissariat : Axel Fried&nbsp; Les Anamnèses &nbsp; &nbsp; À Rome, deux villes coexistent, comme deux membres d'une même fratrie qui auraient hérité du même nom de famille et qui partageraient la même adresse. La première est une métropole contemporaine, une ville minérale et romantique, mécanique et solaire, où le café se boit debout et où le quotidien se déploie dans l'indifférente normalité des grandes capitales européennes. La seconde n'est pas tant une ville qu'une idée, un sentiment général d'histoire et l'impression que certaines des pages les plus importantes de la culture occidentale sont écrites ici. Du paganisme à l'expansion du christianisme, des empereurs aux chefs-d'œuvre de la Renaissance, Rome ne s'est pas faite en un jour, mais en une succession de hauts faits politiques, religieux et artistiques dont l'influence se répercute bien au-delà de l'enceinte de ses frontières. Encore aujourd'hui, le nom de la ville résonne comme celle d'une des civilisations les plus brillantes que le monde méditerranéen ait jamais connue, mais aussi comme le souvenir d'un empire expansionniste, colonisateur, autoritaire et violent dont certaines manières de faire, de bâtir, d'administrer et de légiférer continuent d'habiter le cœur de nos institutions.En ce sens, marcher dans ses artères revient à suivre les pas d'un vieux fauve pour se rendre compte que les empreintes superbes et cruelles qu'il laisse derrière lui sont en réalité les nôtres, tant le monde occidental s'est bâti en jetant des coups d'œil derrière son épaule, pour lorgner en direction de cet aïeul fantasmé. &nbsp; &nbsp; Intitulée Les Anamnèses, en référence à ce geste particulier de la mémoire qui consiste à remonter dans le passé pour comprendre comment certains des souvenirs qui y sont enfouis continuent d'affecter notre quotidien, cette seizième édition de Format à l'Italienne s'intéresse au potentiel artistique de la remémoration. Deux idées principales sous-tendent le choix de cette proposition. La première est que l'histoire n'est pas un processus clos, mais le sillon dans lequel nous continuons d'avancer et dont les circonvolutions structurent notre capacité même à penser. C'est donc moins être nostalgique que pleinement conscient de son époque que de déambuler entre les ruines pour se demander à quelles conditions nous acceptons que le passé qu'elles incarnent survive encore à travers nous. La seconde de ces hypothèses consiste en une croyance empruntée au philosophe allemand Walter Benjamin, selon laquelle les œuvres d'art ne livrent jamais l'intégralité de leurs significations en même temps, et que nous ne comprenons d'elles uniquement ce que notre époque nous autorise à y voir.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Par conséquent, il revient à chaque génération de retourner au passé - pas pour réécrire l'histoire - mais l'éclairer à l'aune des connaissances et de la sensibilité son présent et y révéler des significations nouvelles. C'est le sens du travail de Théo Romain-Sobota, dont les images mêlant fusain et intelligence artificielle prolongent les clairs-obscurs du Caravage et mettent en lumière la survivance de certaines violences baroques dans la Rome contemporaine. C'est aussi le cas du travail de Marie Charpentier, qui pose pour la première fois sur le genre démodé du caprice les yeux d'une écologie radicale et y découvre les prémonitions d'une apocalypse : une Rome post-anthropocentrique sur laquelle la végétation aurait repris ses droits. Younès Ben Slimane a quant à lui tendu l'oreille aux pierres pour écouter la multitude des récits marginalisés que leurs fêlures contiennent. À partir du giallo antico, un marbre jaune issu de la carrière de Chemtou, en Tunisie, il retrace les liens souterrains qui lient la splendeur de Rome à la ruine de son ancien empire colonial.Trois gestes donc, trois anamnèses. Trois manières de mettre l'histoire face au présent et trois manières de remonter les fils du temps pour permettre aux desseins secrets des formes de se signifier pour la première fois. Sur les épaules des géants et des fauves, Rome redevient ce qu'elle n'a jamais cessé d'être pour les artistes : une formidable réserve de sens et de formes, un palais des miroirs dans lequel chaque époque se réfléchit. en France – participe à Platforms Project 2025, foire internationale d’art contemporain indépendante qui se tient à Athènes (Grèce) du 9 au 12 octobre 2025. Sur les stands 3 et 46, le B.A.R. présente et promeut une sélection d’artistes vivants dont le travail s’inscrit dans la diversité et la vitalité de la scène artistique des Hauts-de-France. Cette participation s’inscrit dans la continuité de son engagement à soutenir la création contemporaine émergente et confirmée, à favoriser les échanges internationaux et à valoriser la richesse des pratiques artistiques régionales sur la scène européenne. Cette présentation propose un regard croisé sur leurs pratiques, démarches et recherches en cours, témoignant de la diversité des approches artistiques soutenues par la malterie. À travers cette exposition, les artistes partagent un aperçu des processus de création qui animent leurs ateliers, et invitent le public à découvrir la richesse et la pluralité des formes contemporaines de production artistique. À travers une diversité de médiums – dessin, photo, vidéo, sculpture, peinture ou image numérique – cette exposition propose d’explorer la notion d’atelier non seulement comme lieu physique de production, mais aussi comme espace mental, symbolique et collectif, au cœur du processus de création artistique. Elle interroge la manière dont l’atelier influence la genèse des œuvres, leur transformation et leur mise en circulation, tout en questionnant les conditions matérielles et sociales dans lesquelles les artistes développent aujourd’hui leur travail. Plus qu’une simple présentation de productions individuelles, cette exposition se conçoit comme un terrain d’expérimentation partagé, où se construisent des dialogues entre pratiques et expériences, Ce projet ambitieux, initié par le Bureau d’Art et de Recherche, relie des capitales régionales et tisse un réseau vivant entre artistes, lieux et publics. Pour cette édition, les artistes-curateurs Guillaume Krick, Romain Rambaud et Wilfried Nail — invités par Kamiel Verschuren — ont sélectionné une quarantaine d’artistes contemporains. Leurs choix, à la fois intuitifs et ancrés dans des liens locaux, créent un dialogue dynamique entre Lille, Nantes et Rotterdam, accueilli dans l’espace inspirant de C3 Studios. L’exposition offre une occasion rare de découvrir la richesse et la vitalité de la création européenne actuelle, réunissant en un même lieu des voix françaises, néerlandaises et suisses. Plus qu’une exposition, Trans Europe Express est une invitation au voyage, à la rencontre et à l’exploration de l’énergie créative qui traverse l’Europe. Déposer. Composer."Drag and Drop" est une expérience collective, un instantané des connexions tissées au fil du temps. Cette exposition rassemble celles et ceux avec qui Nicolas Tourte a collaboré en tant qu’artiste, curateur ou autre. Ici, aucune ligne artistique prédéfinie, aucun cadre rigide : seuls comptent les croisements inattendus des œuvres et des trajectoires. Chaque artiste invité est libre d’apporter une pièce de son choix et de la déposer dans l’espace. Une scénographie fluide accueille ces fragments de pratiques et d’expressions, laissant émerger une composition organique, soumise au hasard des formats, des couleurs et des rencontres. "Drag and Drop" est une invitation à l’aléatoire, une mise en scène de l’imprévu, où l’exposition se construit à mesure que les œuvres trouvent leur place. Un dialogue sans hiérarchie, un espace en mutation. En partant d’une image générée par intelligence artificielle, ce projet en sérigraphie réalisé avec une encre phosphorescente, joue sur la notion d’apparition en utilisant la lumière du jour. L’œuvre s’inspire du tableau controversé du Caravage, La Mort de la Vierge, où le corps sans vie d’une prostituée aurait servi de modèle, ainsi que d’un féminicide de trois prostituées survenu à Rome en 2022 dans le quartier de Prati. Le titre fait référence à l’article de Pasolini, publié en 1975 dans le Corriere della Sera, intitulé « Le vide du pouvoir en Italie » (Article des lucioles). En jouant sur le double sens du mot lucciole – à la fois insectes lumineux et euphémisme désignant les prostituées – l’image tisse un dialogue entre passé et présent à travers une approche contemporaine à la fois lyrique et symbolique, questionnant l’héritage esthétique du Caravage et la mémoire de ces corps féminins.
